Dave Latchaw is a seasoned musician with a passion for piano and keyboards. From the tender age of 5, he has been creating captivating music, even improvising piano concerts for his grandmother. His love for improvisation has been a driving force throughout his musical journey.

During his high school years, Dave had the incredible opportunity to study jazz under the guidance of Scott Stroman, Director of The London Jazz Orchestra. This early exposure to jazz ignited a spark within him and laid the foundation for his future musical endeavors.

After earning a music education degree from Indiana University and studying at Berklee College of Music, Dave embarked on an adventurous musical path. He joined the Scottish Rock Band, The Heat, during the vibrant '80s British rock era. As a member of the band, Dave experienced exciting moments, including recording for BBC Radio 1, appearing in metal magazines, and even crossing paths with the legendary Sharon Osbourne. However, his journey eventually led him back to his roots in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he focused on honing his craft and developing his unique musical style.

In the 1990s, Dave launched Latch Music, a platform that showcased his own music, hosted his Live365 Radio Station, and provided music education resources. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of teaching and performing at the Rockowe Ogrdki Music Festival in Plock, Poland, alongside renowned musicians like Krzysztof Misiak. Additionally, Dave has lent his talents to session work for artists across the globe and played keyboards in the Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra. He has also led his own jazz groups, freelanced as a musician, and taught rock music history, piano, and keyboards at Saint Francis University. Currently, Dave continues to share his expertise through both in-person and online lessons.
